Google made Gemini 4 Argon, its newest frontier model, available to developers and enterprises on Oct 13–14, 2026. Its features, pricing, and impact on Saudi firms.

On October 13, 2026, Google announced the availability of its new model, Gemini 4 Argon, which it describes as its latest frontier model, to developers, enterprises, scientists and consumers. The next day, October 14, Google Cloud published a separate announcement confirming the model is available to all customers on its cloud platform. This article summarizes what both official sources say, then looks at what it means for businesses in the Kingdom.

What is Gemini 4 Argon?

According to Google's official blog post, written by Koray Kavukcuoglu, SVP at Google DeepMind, the model is built for what the company calls deep work on complex, real-world tasks, specifically in coding, finance, law, cybersecurity and science. Google first revealed the model on September 30 to a limited group of cyber-defense specialists before broadening access this week.

According to Google, the model supports a unified limit of one million tokens for input and output combined through the Gemini API, allowing it to handle long documents and extended multi-step tasks.

Where is the model available?

Google listed the following access channels:

  • Developers and enterprises: globally via the API in Google AI Studio and the Gemini platform, with the model ID gemini-4-argon.
  • Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers: in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Google Search.
  • Google AI Ultra subscribers: in Google Antigravity, the agentic coding environment.
  • Google Cloud customers: via Gemini for business on web, desktop and mobile, according to Google Cloud's October 14 announcement.

Pricing

Google announced an introductory price of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with 95% off cached input tokens. This price runs until November 30, 2026, after which it rises to $4 for input and $20 for output per million tokens.

What does Google say about performance?

Google reported several results, most notably:

  • Ranking first on the Vals Index, which measures performance on finance, coding, legal and tax work.
  • Scoring 87% on the ERQA embodied reasoning benchmark.
  • Cutting the success rate of indirect prompt injection attacks to 0.7% on the Gray Swan benchmark across 15 adaptive attempts; Google Cloud calls it its most resilient model yet against this type of attack.
  • Tying for first place on CWE-Bench for remediating security vulnerabilities with a score of 68%, according to Google Cloud.

On internal use, Google says its teams working in Antigravity saw agentic code submissions rise by more than 35% and code rollbacks fall by nearly a third. The model also helped the Chrome team refactor code within a codebase of about 40 million lines, completing months of work in weeks.

Aimed at enterprises

Google Cloud's announcement focused on enterprise use: processing long documents that combine text, tables, charts and images into one grounded output, automating ledger reconciliations, spreadsheet formulas and variance analyses, and legal research with verified citations. The company says the model pauses for confirmation before any irreversible step and says so when it cannot find information or finish a task.

Google Cloud named several companies that tried the model early, including GitLab, Harvey, ServiceNow and Figma; ServiceNow reported roughly 20% better task success compared with Gemini 3.8 Flash.

Safety and cyber use

Google says the model operates within a multi-layer defense stack, including jailbreak resistance and an automated monitor that checks the agent's reasoning and actions in real time. The public version blocks offensive tasks such as penetration testing and exploitation, while a version without these guardrails is offered to trusted defenders, including governments, critical infrastructure and security companies, through a limited program called Fairwind.

What does this mean for Saudi businesses?

A new model release does not mean every company must change its tools immediately, but it carries several practical implications:

  • Automating heavy back-office work is getting closer: account reconciliation, summarizing long contracts and analyzing financial reports are tasks Google explicitly targets, and they consume a lot of time in small and medium-sized businesses.
  • Cost is part of the decision: the introductory price until November 30 is a chance to test specific use cases and measure the return before the price doubles.
  • Security first: Google's focus on prompt-injection resistance is a reminder that connecting any AI model to company data and systems needs secure design, tightly scoped permissions and human review of sensitive steps.
  • The model alone is not enough: real value appears when AI is connected to a company's actual systems, such as accounting, customer management and inventory, within a clear workflow.
